Articulator

A tool used by dentists to accurately replicate the range of motion of the jaws, and the relative three-dimensional positions of the upper and lower dental arches.

Articulator (dental jaw simulation tool)

A "semi-adjustable" articulator allows the envelope of motion of the jaws to be closely simulated. Fully adjustable articulators allow even more refinement in simulating a patient's jaw movements.
